In the summer of 2020 it was hard enough to keep up with changing government guidelines, let alone when you’re trying to plan a wedding. Chonnie and Tim coped admirably with having to constantly change their plans and rescheduling their wedding 2 or 3 times to keep up with restrictions. They were determined to get married this year and celebrate in a way that would still keep everyone safe and they did a brilliant job!

Their ceremony took place at The Milky Way Adventure Park in Bideford which might sound like an odd spot for a wedding, but the Old Barn is an absolute hidden treasure! With their indoor vines covering the ceiling of the glass fronted room and decked with fairy lights and flower, this was a really breathtaking spot for Chonnie and Tim’s ceremony.

These guys are just the epitome of fun, and their ceremony totally reflected their personality. Sometimes this part of a wedding day can feel a bit formal, but these two are so laid back you can see how much fun their ceremony was from the grins on their faces!

After probably the most amazing confetti tunnel of all time, we all headed down to Instow beach for a few photos with their guests (just immediate family) which is where they had their first date quite a few years earlier! The weather was just stunning and it was great to relax here for a little while.

We then headed back to Tim’s family’s house where they had worked tirelessly to set up the polytunnel to be a perfect reception venue – and wow did it work! They covered the space in fresh flowers and bought out sofas and rugs so it felt so cosy and really special. The wedding breakfast was a BBQ which is the perfect meal in my books.

I stayed with them until the end of the speeches and the left them to enjoy the rest of their evening.

In the mist of a troubling year, it was so lovely to have moments like this where fun and laughter really shone through!
