About Charlie
Hello, I'm Charlie! Firstly, if you're here, you must be getting married - massive congratulations! Secondly, a huge thank you for taking the time to look over my work and read a bit about me. I know there are a tonne of talented photographers out there so it means the world that you are considering me to capture your wedding. I won't bore you with a huge long paragraph about me but I know it's important that you think you'll like me a bit, so I'm just going to write a few bullet points about myself:
-I have been in love with photography since I was about 12 years old (2004!) when I used to use unwilling pets and Beanie Babies as models with a disposable camera
-I shot my first wedding in 2013 and it sparked an absolute love for it. I've tried many different types of photography but I will never grow tired of photographing weddings
-I currently live in Bristol with my boyfriend Ash and our giant cat Thompson. I'm back in Devon a lot as most my family live around Dartmoor.
-Besides photography, my passions are travelling, food (especially anything with cheese on), dorky boardgames, horror films (the worse the better) and binging American comedy series (Parks & Recreation and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and current favourites).
I hope I sound like a good fit for your day, but let me know if you have any questions! Scroll down to read more about my approach to your wedding day.

"Charlie was the best photographer we could have asked for for our day. From first meeting Charlie was really friendly and easy to get on with which was just what I was looking for. I wanted someone who could feel like a guest and just blend in with everything that was going on and she did that perfectly. We had great feedback from guests who said Charlie was lovely and bubbly, the last thing we wanted was someone who dictated the photos all day. Me and my husband are thrilled with our photos and love every single one taken. Thank you so much for all your help Charlie and we would/will be recommending you to anyone we can!"

About My Approach
When it comes to your wedding day, I think the most important thing is that you're relaxed and enjoying yourself for the whole day. That's what you want to look back on and remember - having fun! Although I know the photos will be a huge priority, they should always come second to the actual experience of the day and so I want to make sure you're never too stressed (or bored!) taking a load of formal group photos and that I never take you away from your guests for too long. It's all about balance. I might grab you very excitedly when there's a great bit of light to take a few photos for 5 minutes, but you can always say no!
I really try to blend in with your day and just go with the flow. You'll barely notice I'm there but you can always trust the fact that I'll be just where I need to be, capturing all those lovely, natural moments which are the best bits. Feel free to grab me for any posed or fun photos throughout the day though! I also think it's important to get to know me a bit before your wedding, so I try and meet you a few times before the day. I'll be with you on one of the most important days of your lives and you definitely don't want a complete stranger there!
I offer free pre-wedding/engagement shoots with my full day packages which is a great opportunity to get a feel for being in front of the camera and getting comfortable with me as well. I try not to do anything too posed or formal for your couple's photos, but it's all about getting the best out of you both and finding a way to best capture your relationship on camera! I always prefer to get photos of you chatting away or laughing and I know it's best not to position you in a way that feels forced or cheesy.
Hopefully all this sounds like what you were hoping for, but if you still have your doubts, do let me know and we can arrange to have a quick chat on the phone or meet for coffee if you have time!
